In June, 2004, mother and daughter co-directors, Nancy and Gabrielle Kanter opened the doors to The Arts offering year round art classes and workshops to youth, teens and adults. The art center evolved out of their belief that everyone is creative and everyone wishes for the opportunity to develop and express his or her creativity. Providing a pleasant and fun environment where freedom of expression can flourish is at the core of the program and remains the goal whether youth are making puppets, teens are working on college portfolio preparation or adults are enjoying an abstract painting class. Instructors are accomplished artists experienced in teaching and assisting students in finding their own path.
